The Terry Fox Run took place on Friday, September 24, 2010. It began with an assembly whereby; Victoria Zoe and Emily Shaw spoke about Terry’s journey and how he believed that it would be the youth who would carry on his dream of finding a cure for cancer.

Parking for pick-up and drop-off
Please remember that it is critical that no one parks or drops-off/picks-up students in the bus loop at peak times as buses need this loop to be able to turn. Peak times are 7:50-9:00am and 2:45-3:50pm.
Laker Day – Term 1
Laker Day has been scheduled for Tuesday, December 15, 2009. Unfortunately it does not appear that the weather is going to be very cooperative for the skiers heading to Worsley. The following is our tentative plan –
Successful Christmas Play!
The Charlie Lake Drama Club under the direction of Terry Boyle successfully presented “A Christmas Carol” on Fri. Dec. 11 and Sat. Dec 12. Students from Grades 1-7 were involved in this production and spent many hours preparing for their debut.
The Reading Incentive Program Returns
The reading incentive program is up and running. The forms can be downloaded here. Just fill out the form and turn it in to the office on the first day of each month.
Cross-Country Running
The Cross-Country Running season was extremely short this year. Thanks to Mrs. Woods for training with our students and taking them to the final cross-country run at Upper Pine. Results will be posted early next week.
Outreach StrongStart a success at Charlie Lake School
Funding for an outreach program to provide a StrongStart Centre at Charlie Lake School was received last Spring. On September 28th, the doors were opened to our preschool population and 11 children and their caregivers attended for a fun-filled morning.
