Charlie Lake has a motto that “We are all Lakers!”. Students understand the motto’s meaning to be respectful, be responsible and be safe. Our staff and students are very focused on a strong community within the school. Our school mascot is Charlie. Social responsibility is an integral part of what makes our school community work.

At Charlie Lake, staff focus on academic excellence for all students. We are part of the district’s Wireless writing program with use of ipads in our grade 6 classes; staff are also involved in supporting improvement in literacy and numeracy for both primary and intermediate students. Our school has a cohort of staff participating the Ministry of Education’s “Changing results for young readers”. Staff is very collaborative and foster and maintain solid relationships with parents in the community.
