Charlie Lake School Closed for the Remainder of the Week

Out of caution, Charlie Lake School will be closed for students for the remainder of this week. At this time we are unsure as to what may happen overnight with the winds and the school may be on evacuation notice.

Grades 3-6 Track Meet tomorrow Wed. May 3

We are having our annual track meet tomorrow and the weather looks great.
Some things to remember:
sunscreen, hats, water bottle, running shoes, and a good breakfast.

How High Can You Jump?

Mr. Koop, Mr. C, Corbin and Parxx all cleared 120cm this afternoon in a high jump demonstration for the students. We know they all could have gone much higher.
Mr. Watson, Wells, and Mrs. Harris also participated and showed us a variety of ways to jump 🙂

How Much Will it Hold?

It was great to see how much weight the bridges were able to hold this afternoon. The top 3 bridges competed in the gym:
Michael and John won with their bridge holding 43 pounds or 19.5kg
Eli and Emerson were second with their bridge holding 40 pounds or 18 kg
Russell and Maxim’s bridge held just less than 40 pounds or 18 kg
 

Badminton Success

It was a very busy event with 20 players from each of the elementary schools in the district, competing in the badminton tournament. The Charlie Lake team did very well and everyone won at least 2 games and most won quite a few more.

Bee Awesome Project Meeting at 6pm Thursday, April 20

We will be providing some information regarding our Bee Awesome Project at the school. It will begin in June and is in conjunction with our outside planters. There will be a bee hive on site (fenced off) and we will have Mr.

What Happened Last Night…

Those little Leprechauns made a mess in some classrooms last night even after many Leprechaun traps were set.
It is great to see so much green today 🙂
