Funding for an outreach program to provide a StrongStart Centre at Charlie Lake School was received last Spring. On September 28th, the doors were opened to our preschool population and 11 children and their caregivers attended for a fun-filled morning. The second week saw at least 21 children visit the centre – enjoying such activities as free play, circle time, snack, gym, and stories. Pam Essensa, Early Childhood Educator for the program, is pleased with the response shown in our community and looks forward to her Monday morning sessions in our school.
If you are a parent/grandparent/caregiver of a child between the ages of birth and five, please come into the school on Monday morning between 9:00 – 11:30 am and check out what StrongStart has to offer. The program is drop-in and you can stay for as long as you like. We look forward to seeing you here!
