• School Start-up Information

    The first day of school is done at 10:45 am. Buses will be running 4 hours early so that means children should be home about 4 hours earlier than they normally arrive.
    Kindergarten starts on September 16 for the Mon./Wed.

  • BOOK FAIR TIME!!

    There will be a BOOK FAIR in the library from Tuesday, May 26 – Thursday, May 28.  A special thank you to Ms. Haugen for organizing this event for our school.  Please come by to check out the wonderful selection of books!

  • Smile – Tuesday is Picture Day!!

    Tuesday, May 26 is picture day at Charlie Lake.  At this time class photos and team photos will be taken.
    *Please note that the “RED” Kindergarten class will have their photo done on Wednesday, May 27.

  • BC School Fruit and Vegetable Nutrition Program

    Charlie Lake Elementary has been accepted to the BC School Fruit and Vegetable Program for September 2009.  This is exciting news and will allow us to continue to promote healthy lifestyle choices for our students.

  • PAC sponsors Scott Gallagher visit to Charlie Lake

    On Thursday, April 23, Scott Gallagher will bring the “Power of Choice” program to Grade 5-6-7 students at Charlie Lake Elementary School.  This program is designed specifically to help young people take control of their lives and replace unwanted,

  • April 22 – Bert Bowes Visit

    Please note that counsellors from Bert Bowes will be visiting Grade 7 classrooms on Wed. April 22 to discuss the transition from elementary to the junior high environment.  Students will also be given directions on how to select their elective courses for next year and will bring home a form for parent signature. 

  • Band Concert

    Charlie Lake students were treated to a short band concert on Tuesday, April 21.  The School District #60 Junior Band visited and shared a number of songs with us.  In addition, Mrs. Montgomery explained the various instruments and talked about opportunities for Grade 6 and 7 students to join band for the 2009-2010 school year. 

  • Laker Day

    The next Laker Day will be Thursday, March 19th.  Primary students will be heading to the Aurora Cinema to watch “The Shaggy D.A.” while Intermediate students have the opportunity to participate in swimming, skating, or skiing/snowboarding at Worseley. 

  • Off to Nationals!

    Dylan Kassian, a grade 7 student in Mrs. McLennan’s class, is one of 5 students selected to attend the National Science Fair in Winnipeg in May.  We are proud of your accomplishment, Dylan!!

  • CHARLIE LAKE STUDENTS SHINE AT REGIONAL SCIENCE FAIR

    Charlie Lake students participated in the Regional Science Fair on March 10 at NPSS.  19 projects were entered and when the hardware was handed out, there were 9 gold medals and 10 silver medals shining around the necks of smiling students.
