Mrs. Klassen’s grade 6/7 class hosted their first Winter Carnival on Monday, March 2. As part of their French program, the class had been studying the Quebec Carnivalle which was held on Jan. 9 this year. The students were asked to look up events that would be happening at the real Carnivalle and adjust them to make them work for our Carnivalle. The following stations were decided on and run by the students: winter dance competition, snow golf, ice cream with maple syrup, four man skiing, ice carving, snow sculptures, snow soccer, crushed ice with home made syrup, hockey shoot, face painting and crazy carpet racing. The entire school was invited to attend the festivities and enjoyed trying out the different stations.
