February 18th marked Charlie Lake’s Ready, Set, Learn Fair. A carnival-like atmosphere was created to welcome the preschool population and their parents to our school. The event started out with two delightful stories from our school librarian, Mrs. Haugen and then participants were set free to explore the various booths in the gymnasium. In addition to the “fun” booths like face painting and the fish pond, parents were able to browse catlogues from “Smart Kids”, “Usborne Books” and “Discovery Toys” or to obtain information from a variety of service provides or organizations that work with preschool children and their parents.
Thank you to Mr. Bourcet and the Grade 7 students in Mrs. McLennnan’s classroom for all their assistance with set up and working various booths during the fair.
