RE: Lockdown Drill Practice
Dear Parents and Guardians,

I hope this letter finds you well. I am reaching out to inform you that Charlie Lake Elementary is scheduled to conduct a lockdown drill on:

Thursday, November 23rd, at 11:00 AM.

This initiative is part of the Ministry of Education’s Safe Schools program, aiming to standardize lockdown procedures across the province. Our district, in collaboration with the RCMP, has developed a comprehensive plan for these drills, ensuring a coordinated and effective approach.

We understand that such drills might be a source of concern for some students and parents. Please be assured that we are dedicated to making this a learning experience for our students. In preparation, we will be engaging in thoughtful discussions with the students to address any anxieties and explain the importance of these drills.
